About This Project

The arcades of the Mercado Bom Sucesso, in Porto, housed the book festival ‘Reading is Rocking Out’, an initiative of Bairro dos Livros. Sales and book launches, conferences, snacks and entertainment all coexist in this initiative, full of cultural events and literary novelties to enjoy, 100% free.

This was the 6th edition of an event that was born to promote the bookshops and cultural movements of Porto, but that has, in the meantime, gained a broader scope, which is to promote reading and celebrating literature.

From Thursday through Sunday, readers had “the usual discounts in the summer catalogues and the diverse gourmet offer of the MBS restaurants.”
